Eyebrows – the one thing you can get into shape without exercising
I’m a minimalist when it comes to everyday make up. Full face make up or half an hour longer sleep? I definitely like to sleep more than looking flawless. On an every day basis mascara, eyeliner and some kind of lip balm is all I need.
I totally underestimated the power of eyebrows all my life. I tried it before with other products like an eyebrow pencil or powder but nothing looked right. It looked unnatural and I just didn’t feel comfortable.
Well, one product completely changed my mind and now I am all about shaping the eyebrows: Brow Wiz by Anastasia Beverly Hills. So many people raved about it but I never gave it a try until a few months ago.
One sunny day in February when I was all by myself in San Francisco I did what most of the girls would do. I went to Sephora at Union Square. There it was, the Brow Wiz, catching my attention. The shop assistant recommended dark brown for my type of hair color (I have black hair). I tried it immediately after returning to my hotel. Let me tell you it was love at first sight! It was just so easy to use but made my eyebrows look perfect and the most important thing was it looked so natural like they were my own eyebrows. Well shaped, filled eyebrows do frame your face and overall enhance your natural beauty. Perfect eyebrows with the Brow Wiz is all I need at the moment. Sometimes I leave the house even without mascara and eyeliner.
Framing your face by shaping the eyebrows is what you need!
You come home from your holiday and then looking at the pictures you have taken you realize that your skin looks dry and dull. Does that happen to you too?
Well, travelling can be stressful to you and your body. You body as well as your skin needs to adapt to new environment and conditions all the time. Change of environment, water and humidity may affect your skin. Especially being on an airplane can dry out you skin.
As soon as I come home I like to pamper my skin with a good homemade facial mask. I use all natural products.
Having an indian background facial mask using chickpea flour as a main ingredient is well known.
I use following components in my facial mask:
- chickpea flour (acts as an exfoliant and brightens up your face)
- pinch of tumeric powder (anti aging, antimicrobial, lightens pigmentation and more)
- natural yoghurt (moisturizing, reduces wrinkles and fine lines and more)
- lemon (brightening and removes excess oil)
How to make the mask:
- 1 teaspoon chickpea flour
- pinch of tumeric powder (too much will give you a yellowish hue)
- 1 tablespoon natural plain yoghurt
- lemon (add as much as needed to make a smooth paste)
Apply the mask onto your face and let it do it’s magic for about 20 minutes. The mask will dry quickly and may feel a bit stiff. Then soak a small towel with warm water and remove the mask.
Your skin will feel so much softer and hydrated. Your skin will be glowy and softer.
Give your skin a little bit of spa time!
Our skin is the largest organ in our body and it contains lipids which consists a certain amount of fats. Oil is naturally produced on our skin and it prevents our skin from dehydration.
Nowadays we use harsh chemical products to remove the oil on our skin. By doing this our skin will produce even more oil.
A few months ago I started using natural oils as my moisturizer as well as for cleansing my face. I hesitated at the beginning as I have sensitive combination skin and I was afraid that using oil would contribute to break outs.
I bought qualitative organic oils to create a facial oil and oil cleanser.
The basic ingridients of my facial oil:
Jojobaoil (2/3 as my base oil)
Vitamin E oil (few drops)
Chamomile aromatherapy oil (a few drops)
Properties of these oils:
– contains natural lipids (similar to those in our skin)
– especially suitable for impure skin, as it regulates the sebaceous glands
Rose Hip Seed Oil
– rich in Vitamin A, C, D, E, essential fatty acids and antioxidants
– contributes to firmness of the skin
– good against scars, wounds and stretch marks and burn
– can reduce fine lines and wrinkles
– keeps the membranes healthy
After using the facial oil for a few months now I can say that it helps your skin a lot. I used to have wrinkles on my forehead due to dehydration. The fine lines and wrinkles are less noticeable now. My skin has gotten more glow and the skin tone is more even now. The oil has a very light texture hence it infiltrates the skin very fast. I use this oil under my eyes as well and it has reduced my dark under eye circles.
This method is a natural way to enhance your natural beauty and obtain the properties of your skin without harming it.

Every new year I start with the resolution of drinking more water to keep me hydrated. The majority of your body is made of water and your cells NEED water to function properly.
Still I fail each time to keep up with the minimum of 1.5l of water per day. I love drinking tea but I never feel like drinking water unless I am already dehydrated and thirsty which is a BAD sign.
If you feel thirsty it indicates that your body is dehydrated and may affect your health.
A beverage which is similar to water but tastes much better and gives you nutrients too is coconut water. It is the perfect drink when you enjoy it chilled in those hot summer days.
Reason why you should give coconut water a try:
– helps you lose weight
– makes your skin glow (beauty)
– nutrients (potassium, magnesium calcium and more)
My favorite one is from Chi organic which is depicted on the picture.
It is 100% raw organic. No added sugar, no preservatives, 100% pure, never heated, cold extracted and not from concentrate. The water is from young Thai Nam-Hom coconut. It is definitely a luxury version as it costs about 5 Dollars at my grocery store. The taste is so amazing so I enjoy it now and then.
Lean back and enjoy some coconut water feeling like you are on an beautiful island..

What about a magic lipstick which could make your lips unique and differ from others? What about the perfect shade of pink which suits your skin tone perfectly? Sounds fancy right..well… here it is the frog prince lipstick by the Queen.
The lipstick itself has an emerald green color but it is supposed to turn into the perfect shade of rosebud after applied to the lips.
How does this magic work? It is basic chemistry. As soon as the green reacts with the warmth of your lips it will turn into a pinky shade.
The lipstick will adapt to your pH and your natural color hence no lips will look the same. This is what the brand describes. Does it work?
Yes, it does. After applying the green turns into a pink shade and it looks nice and natural.
The downside os this lipstick is though due to the fact that it is very moisturizing and shiny the color is not intense it just gives you a sheer color.
I paid about 30 Dollars for this lipstick in the country I live and that is a lot. If you like full coverage lipstick this is not something for you. I am impressed about the fact that the lipstick is made of castor oil which is very hydrating and good for your skin. I use Castor oil in my skin care a lot. It has other good ingredients like Shea Butter and Vitamin E which acts as an anti-oxidant. Like other lipsticks which are not organic it has chemicals too.
Would I buy it again? I guess not. The idea is nice and it does work but for the price you pay it is not really worth it in my opinion. It is a good lipstick to apply just before you leave because you do not need ti be super careful but a tinted lipbalm can do that too right?
Hope you liked this post.
I wish you happy easter guys! Have an amazing time with your family and friends.
