Low Carb Crispy Pizza

You are on a low carb diet but then suddenly you are craving a delicious savory slice of pizza? I had that kind of day today. I found the perfect low carb pizza recipe which tastes way better than cauliflower pizza. What you need:

  • IMG_1439.JPG170g grated cheese (I used pizza cheese)
  • 85g ground almond
  • 2 tablespoon cream cheese
  • 1 egg
  • dried oregano
  • dried basil
  • tomato sauce
  • salt
  • grated cheese for topping
  • your favorite toppings
  1. pre-heat your oven with 220°C
  2. combine the grated cheese with the ground almond and melt it under medium heat
  3. add the cream cheese, stir
    and melt it to a manageable dough
  4. add salt to taste and the dried herbs
  5. spread the dough into a round shape onto a baking tray lined with baking paper
  6. put it into the oven for 12-15min
  7. after 5min prick with a folk so the dough can be evenly cooked
  8. remove the pizza dough after its brown
  9. spread the tomato sauce
  10. add the cheese and your favorite toppings
  11. bake for 6-7min

Keeping fresh flowers in your household can bring many beneficial effects.

  • decorates your home
  • pop of color
  • improves the quality of the air
  • gives a nice fragrance
  • improves productivity
  • makes you more creative
  • makes you happier and improves your mood
  • memories can be aroused

I am always excited when someone brings me fresh flowers. Today is our 4th wedding anniversary and my husband brought me some bright red roses and it made my day instantly. The colors and fragrance of flowers make me happy and they give me hope. Flowers need some care in order to stay beautiful for a longer time. So does life. You need to take care of yourself, the people around you and the relationships you have. For me flowers symbolize the fact that life is all about caring and motivate me to do better.

So always keep some fresh flowers and enjoy the free benefits.

Day 4 – Grand Canyon Nationalpark

Life is not measured by the breaths we take but by the moments that take our breath away

This day way the one I was looking forward to the most. It was the day I was about to stand in front of the Grand Canyon.

On this day we left Laughlin and on the way to the Grand Canyon Nationalpark we made a stop in Seligman. It is a small place on the historic Route 66. I loved that place as you feel like you have time-travelled back to the old days.

We drew to the airport from where we could start our helicopter tour to the Grand Canyon. It was my first time ever being on a helicopter and exciting enough we were about to fly to one of the world wonders. Arriving at the edge of Grand Canyon I got very emotional. I haven’t seen anything like that ever in my life. Every person will feel in a different way seeing such a wonder. It just made me realize again how amazing the nature is and what it is capable of. In front of the canyon we as humans feel powerless. I was amazed by the beautiful terra cotta colors and the beautiful structures while we were flying over the canyon. I started to think about so many different things and life in general. It was definitely a lifetime experience.

The whole day was about Grand Canyon. We enjoyed the canyon from different viewpoints and we sat on different edges to enjoy the view and take deep breaths.

We stayed at the Yavapai Lodge in Grand Canyon Nationalpark. It got so cold during the night. Two blankets were not enough for us but that made us sleep like a bear and dream about the beautiful Grand Canyon.

Butter coffee

Butter coffee. Does that sound weird to you too? Well, I tried it for the first time ever in my life today and let me tell you: it was delicous. I felt a bit nauseous after drinking it because of the high fat content but that wasn’t a problem after a few minutes.

  • fat burning
  • boost of energy
  • beneficial for mental health (boost of energy for your brain)
  • you get more out of the antioxidants in coffee (adding milk reduces the effect)

This is how I made my butter coffee:

  • use 2.5 teaspoon of instant coffee for 500ml hot water (or brew your coffee as usual)
  • add the coffee to blender
  • add 2 tablespoon of butter
  • add 1 tablespoon of coconut oil
  • blend everything until creamy


I am skeptical whether this is really going to work but I will keep you guys posted!



See the good

Negativity is a thief, it steals happiness

IMG_1254Our world can be full of negativity. To be honest I strongly believe it is just the way you see the things. Obviously things happen and people behave in a way which is not acceptable but the way you react to it depends completely on yourself. You can let yourself carried away with the negativity or resist against it.

Not only does negativity steal your happiness, it also affects your health. Chronic stress can be induced by negativity which then again leads to unhappiness. Depletion of important neurotransmitters which play an essential role for happiness is a consequence of chronic stress.

Studies have shown that chronic stress may lead to the reduction of lifespan due to the shortening of telomeres which are the end part of your DNA. Gastrointestinal problems as well as heart diseases are also major consequences.

Unhappiness caused by negativity can also lead to depression which has become a huge problem in our society nowadays.

Why does negativity influence our lives so much? In my opinion competition and our will to do better can be one of the influencing factors. Competition is everywhere in this day and age. We are competing for jobs, admission to good schools, better salaries or even promotions. In this respect we come across negativity.

Why did the other one get the job and not me? Why wasn’t I good enough? These are typical questions which may bother our minds. Additionally there are negative people everywhere who want to drain all the positive energy out of you. They will make you lose your self-esteem.

I used to be a very pessimistic person. I would see the negative aspect in everything first before seeing the good. A few years back I had a very bad phase in my life. Now I know it was mainly caused by chronic stress. I was excepting a lot from myself because there was a lot of pressure on me from others. I was unhappy and couldn’t enjoy things anymore. I hadreached a point where I knew I had to change something to not lose the things I’ve worked so hard for.

I knew I had to change the way I was thinking and slowly overcome my negative thoughts as well as negativity around myself to something positive.

Whenever something bad happens now, I try to ask myself: what is the good in this situation? How bad it may seem there is always something positive in there and finding it, may lead to happiness. Nowadays I try to eliminate people who want me to feel bad. You don’t need those people in your life.

So try to remember:

  • negativity will only harm your health and happiness
  • it is just the way you see things and your attitude towards it
  • bad things/phases are part of life; try to accept them
  • slowly replace negative thoughts by positive ones
  • always see the good in everything
  • eliminate negative people out of your life; they are toxic
  • life is a gift so be grateful


Day 3 – Joshua Tree Nationalpark, Amboy, Laughlin

It was a a very early morning on this day. My husband was awake at 6 and his first thought was where to have breakfast. The breakfast at the hotel we were staying at was not the best one (cereals and white bread only). Subway was the only place near our hotel so we went there to grab a sandwich before we had to return to our hotel as the guide planned to leave at 8 o’clock sharp.

Our first stop on the way to Joshua Tree Nationalpark was Hadley Fruit Orchards. It’s a grocery store famous for it’s delicious date (banana) shake. They sell wholesome organic foods and as we like to consume organic groceries in our every day life we bought some fruits, nuts and veggies to have on the road. The Joshua Tree NAtionalpark consists two deserts (Mojave and Colorado) and is full of Yucca trees. We did a round trip at the park and enjoyed the views and different plant species.

On our way to Laughlin we made another stop in Amboy. It is a little town with only a few buildings and about 10 people  (according to our guide). Amboy is famous for the Roy’s Motel and Café which is a landmark for Route 66. Many years back Route 66 used to be the main street of America. Everyone doing a tour in the West Coast of USA will make a stop at Route 66 to take a legendary photo. Obviously we did that too and we tried the Route 66 root beer which is without any alcohol and made out of cane sugar. To be honest I didn’t like the taste of it. It was too sweet and not tasty (for me at least).

We stayed in Laughlin that night. It is a mini version of Las Vegas with many casino hotels. Our guide told us the story about how the town was founded by Don Laughlin. Listening to the history is really fascinating sometimes. We played a little but I am not a Casino girl and luck never knocks my door anyway (hehe).

After an italian dinner and a walk through the town we went to sleep so we could be all set for a new day.

This is one of my favorite quotes. Most of us hope that the world may change to a better place some day. But we sometimes forget that we could contribute to the change.


This is my wall tattoo in the study room. I spend the majority of my time at home there. Not only to study but that room is also my creative room. I have fotos, inspirational quotes or anything which motivates me to do better. Every time I’ve visited a new place in the world I will stick a swarovski crystal (white spots) on this tattoo as a reminder. Every country and every place you go differ from each other. The people and their culture are unique in their own way and every time you learn something new.

My world tattoo is not only a reminder of my travel destinations. It is my motivation to do better. I want to achieve something in life to make the earth a better place for other generation. We have caused many bad things to our world (pollution, world war..) and that fact won’t be changed by looking back. We can only make it better and learn from our mistakes.

It inspires me with new ideas and hope. Every person has a spot on this world so everyone should feel responsible to take care of it.

Traveling has showed me the beauty of the earth. So many beautiful places, nature, people, cultures and those deep blue oceans.
